Password management guide

• Please keep your password from being exposed to others.

• Do not write down your passwords in your memo, notebook, journal, or store them on your PC.

• Change passwords periodically (3 months).

• When changing passwords, please set it different from previous passwords.

• Do not use a password that a third party can easily guess.

  • 2) your resident registration number

• Financial Crimes

  • - What is phishing?
  • It is a combined word of private data and fishing. It sends email impersonating Huobi Korea and other related organizations or induces users to visit a disguised site through Internet advertising, community posts related to virtual asset information/trends and then asks to enter personal (financial) information and passwords / OTP.
  • - What is Voice Phishing?
  • Voice Phishing means illegally intercepting personal information through a telephone and using it for crime. The criminals identify the resident registration number, credit card number, bank account number and so on by impersonating financial institutions, public institutions or Huobi to withdraw funds or use the information for other purposes.
  • - What is Pharming?
  • Even if you enter a normal homepage address for reasons such as PC or smart phone being infected with malicious code, it is connected to a fake homepage. In addition, it refers to the fraudulent method of intercepting personal (financial) information by linking to the fake homepage even if you click the bookmark that you accessed previously.

• Prevention Tips

  • - Please do not enter personal financial information (account number, password / OTP, etc.) via email or bulletin board.
  • - Please enter the Internet address directly when accessing the homepage.
  • - Please maintain the latest version with periodic update of vaccine program and OS (Windows).
  • - Do not open suspicious e-mail or postings but check the attachment with the anti-virus program before viewing or saving.
  • - Please refrain from login to the homepage in a public place such as a PC room or a cafe.
  • - Please do not respond to requests for information such as account number, card number, resident registration number, or password due to leakage of personal information over the phone or involvement in a criminal incident.
  • - Please be cautious of scams that requests you to input your account number or card number via ARS or text message.
  • - If you are attracted to the cash dispenser for taking account security measures, please do not respond at all.
  • - If you are victimized, please call the Financial Services Agency 112 call center or the financial company call center to immediately freeze the problematic account.
